Ami.e.s de Poche - Pocket Buddies

Il y en a tellement de Kingstoniens avec leur main sur le coeur!  

Heather Haynes, une artiste-peintre, vit sa vie africaine non seulement à travers ses peintures mais avec SA famille dans la République Démocratique du Congo.  Les femmes et la centaine d'enfants du refuge ont bénéficiés de la chaleureuse et gracieuse bonté d'Heather Haynes.  

 

Sachant qu'Heather s'en allait en Afrique en février 2015, le club humanitaire avait décidé de donner un jouet aux 80 enfants africains.  Quelques jours avant son départ, le Club humanitaire apprend qu'il y avait maintenant une trentaine d'enfants de plus qui ont pris refuge à l'orphelinat.  Les membres ont alors fabriqué plus d'Ami(e)s de Poche pour que tous puissent en avoir un!    

 

Heather est une autre merveilleuse personne qui s'était liée d'amitié avec Mme Jacynthe quelques années après son établissement à Kingston. Heather est la personne qui lui a dit un jour:  You see, you don't have to travel to fulfill your dream of helping, what you are doing here with the club is making a difference.  Nous continuons depuis à lui donner des Ami(e)s de Poche et un montant d'argent afin de parrainer deux enfants.

There are so many Kingstonians with their hands on their hearts! Heather Haynes, an artist-painter, lives her African life not only through her paintings but with 'HER' family in the Democratic Republic of Congo. The women and the hundred children of the shelter benefited from the warm and gracious goodness of Heather Haynes.

Knowing that Heather was going to Africa in February 2015, the humanitarian club decided to give a toy to 80 African children. A few days before her departure, the club learned that there were now thirty or so more children who took refuge at the orphanage. The members then made more Pocket Friends so that everyone could have one!

Heather is another wonderful person who made friends with Mrs. Jacynthe a few years after her settlement in Kingston. Heather is the one person who once said to her: You see, you don't have to travel to fulfill your dream of altruism. What you are doing with the club is making a difference in many ways. Since then, we have been giving Pocket Buddies to Heather and enough money to sponsor two children.
